MINE RESISTANT AMBUSH PROTECTED (MRAP)
10/1/2007 10:13:21 AM
Sechan Electronics, Inc. is involved in a very important program as a sub-contractor to BAE Systems. The program involves the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle. The MRAP is a V-shaped hulled vehicle that protects our soldiers from explosions in battle. It is estimated that this vehicle would have saved 742 lives in Iraq thus far. The Army is anxious to replace their fleet of Humvees for this future war-fighting vehicle. In fact, Defense Secretary Robert Gates plans to purchase over 17,000 vehicles; and, he expects delivery in 2008. Sechan builds the Vehicle Distribution Box (VDB) for the MRAP vehicle. The VDB can be described as the fuse and electrical power distribution box for armored personnel carriers similar to the fuse box in your car. Sechan built the first five production prototypes and BAE successfully passed testing at the Army’s Aberdeen Proving Grounds. As of September 2007, Sechan has shipped 150 production units to BAE Systems with orders for 377 more. Our Manufacturing operations are rapidly tooling and staffing for the challenge to come.

THE BOEING HARPOON MISSILE
3/27/2007 8:33:59 AM
Early this year, we received our 7th production order for the Engine Start Relay Panel (ESRP) and the Electronic Control Amplifier (ECA). These electronic components are used in the SLAM-ER/Harpoon Missile manufactured at The Boeing Company. Sechan Electronics is pleased to participate in the Boeing CMOS program. This is a ship to the “point-of-use” program; where Sechan is responsible for monitoring the inventory levels of our products via the Boeing web based CMOS software. Based on the inventory levels at the “point-of-use,” the Boeing manufacturing production line, Sechan will make weekly or sometimes daily shipments to support the production of SLAM-ER/Harpoon missiles. Maintaining a controlled inventory level, as well as zero defects has elevated Sechan to a “Gold” supplier status at the Boeing Company.
