Manager of Procurement
This is a senior level position reporting to the Vice President of Operations. Sechan is a high mix, low to mid volume designer and manufacturer of complex electronic systems used exclusively in defense related applications. The procurement activity spans a variable, diverse range of materials including discrete electronic components and custom metal fabrications, through complex electronic system elements. Responsibilities of this position include proposal material costing, strategic supplier development, management of materials procurement, and propagation of continuous improvement initiatives. Minimum qualifications include a four year degree in business administration or a related field, and five years procurement management experience in the defense industry. A complete understanding of AS9100 requirements as well as Federal Acquisition Requirements is also needed. Understanding and experience in the support of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects will be deemed as a valuable asset.
Manager of Program Planning
This newly created position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations. It is a working manager position responsible for the direct oversight of the planning staff, program planning functions, and coordination of plant scheduling.
Education and related work experience requirements include:
- A four (4) year degree in business administration or related field
- APICS CPIM Accreditation
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in program planning
- Comprehensive knowledge of MRP software
- Theory of constraints based manufacturing systems

Maintenance Technician
Perform scheduled maintenance of various machines to support Automated Circuit Card Assembly. Machines include, but not limited to, Surface Mount, Wave Solder, Selective Solder and Aqua-storm. Other duties will include supporting assembly as needed. Applicant must have a strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical controls. Experience in general maintenance of motors and conveyor systems helpful. Must be computer literate and possess good communications skills. Two years of Trade/Vocational school desired or, equivalent experience in a maintenance environment. Opening on 1st or 2nd shift.
Assemblers
Experience in soldering and basic understanding of manufacturing drawings and work instructions is preferred, however a full training program is provided. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, strong reading, comprehension, and retention skills are required. Several positions exist from small mechanism assembly at a bench to larger hand tools, conformal coating of circuit cards, and also wire harness assembly.
Manufacturing Engineering Lead Person-Circuit Card Assemblies
Provides advanced engineering expertise in support of the design, and integration of highly complex circuit card assemblies. Technical expertise should include a broad background in circuit card assembly with a strong concentration in surface mount technology/processes. Demonstrated process expertise shall include: Component Lead Forming, Solder Paste Stencil Printing, Pick and Place, Solder Reflow, Cleaning Systems, Through Hole Assembly, Wave and Selective Soldering, Post Automated Hand Assembly processes, Bonding and Conformal Coating. Competency in Design for Manufacturing, SPC, Manufacturing Fixture Design is also a plus. Tasks may include: creation of manufacturing instructions, data analysis, process development, preparation of estimates for bids and proposals, development of plant and facility layouts, etc. Emphasis is on leadership and coordination of the overall strategic technical direction of Circuit Card Assembly Manufacturing Technology. Requires the application of engineering standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques in ways that are highly innovative. A focus on developing best practices and on mentoring others will also be expected. A minimum of 5 years’ experience and a BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Manufacturing Supervisor
Position available for a Manufacturing Supervisor to manage the conformal coating processes of high reliability/military circuit cards. The position involves the supervision of 10 – 15 personnel. Preferred applicants will have knowledge of IPC-A-610; advanced organizational skills; experience managing /supervising a high product mix, moderate to high product volume environment using discrete manufacturing operations to accomplish objectives; ability to problem solve, adjust priorities and work across multidiscipline functions a must. Applicants should also have experience with Lean Manufacturing.
Assembly/Soldering
Sechan seeks a high reliability electronics solderer. The ideal candidate will have Military Class 3, J-STD-001, & IPC-A-610 certifications. Minimum experience to be considered is Commercial Class 1 with 2 years experience. Computer knowledge, personal discipline and a positive attitude are desirable work capabilities. The position is full time, first shift.
Circuit Card Assembly
Openings for individuals in circuit card automatic assembly operations, electronics final assembly and final system integration. Experience in operating automatic assembly equipment (surface mount and through hole), SPC, soldering, and basic understanding of manufacturing drawings and work instructions preferred. Openings on 1st and 2nd shift.
