Sechan Awarded Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, Rhode Island (NSWC Newport) MK 48 Heavyweight Torpedo Prime Contract

Sechan Electronics Inc., Lititz, Pennsylvania is being awarded a $12,620,729 firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursement contract to fabricate, assemble, test, inspect, and deliver electronic components for the MK48 heavyweight torpedoes.  This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $34,402,997.  This contract combines purchases for the government of Turkey (34 percent); Canada (27 percent); and the Netherlands (39 percent), under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.  Work will be performed in Lititz, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by March 2023 if all options are exercised.  FMS funding in the amount of $12,620,729 will be obligated at the time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with two offers received.  The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, Rhode Island is the contracting activity (N66604-18-C-1570).

Sechan Awarded Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Global Positioning System-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) Prime Contract

Sechan Electronics Inc.,* Lititz, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $52,065,643 indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract for Global Positioning System-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) hardware production units.  GPNTS is used to receive, process and distribute three dimensional position, velocity, acceleration, attitude, time and frequency in the formats required by shipboard user systems.  Work will be performed in Lititz, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by March 2023.  Fiscal 2016 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds and other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $2,111,585 will be placed on contract and obligated at the time of award.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured via the Commerce Business Daily’s Federal Business Opportunities website and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command e-Commerce Central website, with seven offers received.  The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, California, is the contracting activity (N00039-18-D-0008).

Sechan Awarded Naval Sea Systems Command Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Signal Data Processor Assemblies (SDP-S) Prime Contract

Sechan Electronics Inc., Lititz, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $14,119,736 firm-fixed-price delivery order to previously awarded contract (N00024-12-D-5203) for Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Signal Data Processor Assemblies (SDP-S).  This contract combines purchases for the Navy (78 percent); the government of Japan (20 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales program; and the Marine Corps (2 percent).  The SDP-S assembly provides the processing capability for the CEC.  The CEC SDP-S assemble was developed through a technical refresh/crypto modernization effort to implement advantages provided by significant improvements in processor technologies.  The design incorporates open architecture initiatives and satisfies sea, air and land-mobile requirement of the CEC system.  This modification is to the established SDP-S production contract.  Work will be performed in Lititz, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed July 2017.  Working capital funds (Navy); foreign military sales; fiscal 2016 aircraft procurement (Navy); fiscal 2016 other procurement (Navy); fiscal 2016 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy); and fiscal 2016 procurement (Marine Corps ) funding in the amount of $14,119,736 will be obligated at time of award and funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.

Sechan has been recognized for their outstanding quality and performance as a supplier to Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), at the Supplier Excellence Award Conference in Danvers, Massachusetts on June 7, 2016. Sechan was one of 24 companies to be presented with 2015 5-Star Supplier Excellence Award.

Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems business instituted the annual Supplier Excellence Awards program to recognize suppliers who have provided outstanding service and partnership in exceeding customer requirements. Award candidates are judged on certain criteria, including overall quality, on-time delivery and demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement. A 5-Star recognition is the highest level of recognition a Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems business supplier can achieve for excellence in quality and performance.

Sechan had also been previously awarded the 3-Star Award for two consecutive years.

Sechan has been a supplier to Raytheon for more than 14 years. Sechan provides manufacturing services to Raytheon for programs such as Sub High Data Rate (HDR); Thunderbird Radio; Air Traffic Navigation, Integration, and Coordination System (ATNAVICS); Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT); High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA); and Signal Data Processor (SDP).
